Paul Foster-Head Chefs Blog

Dates I ate there : Halloween 2010 & 6th February 2011

A stunning Location cant wait to go back in the summer & sit out side by the Mill Stream Making the most of the relaxing Countryside, Feeding the swans with my son.
The place has a very rustic & relaxed feel to it with its oak beams, Open fire place in the Bar & large windows to see both out side and the mill wheel its-self. A very Child friendlily Place from both staff and facility's. Disabled/Changing room & High chairs But didn`t see a lift and the dining room is upstairs.

This was my second Visit & both times had an amazing meal with a few unusual Combinations from Paul Foster-Head Chef & team making it worth a visit. All the dishes were in keeping with the season.
(A young chef finding is own feet defiantly some one to watch out for in the future).

Hare Lasagne:
I'm not a big fan of Rabbit or Hare but the flavour was well rounded off with the Celeriac.

Below Slow-cooked beef rib, Hazelnuts, winter chanterelles.
Loved the sweet crunchiness of the hazelnuts along side the beef & mushrooms.

Lamb rump & shoulder, onion fondue, feta, smoked potatoes

Nice match with the chocolate & coriander cress.

Finished on a light tasty well rounded Dessert
